The Witch's Cabinet · Spell kit

Peace Magick, spell kit and correspondences

Calming the mind, easing tension and bringing harmony to your home.

Peace magick soothes: an anxious mind, a tense household, a strained friendship or a space that has seen too much conflict. In Wiccan practice it draws on gentle water energy and the harmonizing influence of Venus. Peace spells do not force anyone to feel calm or change their mind; they create a softer atmosphere and help you respond with patience instead of reacting. They are lovely after cleansing work or a difficult day. If you are struggling with ongoing anxiety, these rituals can sit alongside support from a counselor or doctor, never in place of it.

A simple peaceful home bowl

  1. On a Friday near the last quarter moon, set a blue candle in a sturdy holder on a heat-safe surface in the main room of your home and light it.
  2. Fill a bowl with water and float a small handful of dried chamomile on top. Add two drops of lavender oil and watch the flowers drift.
  3. Hold the blue lace agate and breathe slowly, letting each exhale be longer than the inhale. Picture the room filling with cool, quiet blue light.
  4. Say, "Peace in this room, peace in this home, peace in my heart." Set the agate in the center of the room where people gather.
  5. Snuff the candle when the room feels settled. Pour the water out within a day, and keep it out of reach of pets, especially cats.

Tip: Repeat the words quietly to yourself whenever tension rises, holding the agate if it is nearby.
