Love Magick, spell kit and correspondences
Magick for opening your heart, deepening self-love and welcoming caring connection.
Love magick in Wiccan practice begins at home, with the way you treat yourself. Spells for love work best when they soften old hurts, build self-worth and make you more open to the kind of affection you want in your life. You can also work to strengthen friendships, family bonds and an existing partnership with that partner's knowledge. One firm ethical line: never cast to make a specific person love you or to bend anyone's free will. Instead, describe the qualities of the love you hope for and let the right people find their way to you.
Your love spell kit
A simple self-love candle spell
- On a Friday during the waxing crescent, set a pink candle in a sturdy holder on a heat-safe surface, with your rose quartz and a small dish of dried rose petals beside it.
- Dilute one drop of rose otto in a teaspoon of carrier oil, then rub a thin film onto the candle from the middle out toward each end, keeping oil away from the wick.
- On a slip of paper, write three things you love about yourself and three qualities you hope to find in the love that comes to you. Name no one.
- Light the candle, hold the rose quartz to your heart, and read your list aloud slowly. Breathe in, imagining soft pink light filling your chest.
- Fold the paper around a few rose petals and tuck it under the candle holder. Let the candle burn while you stay nearby, then snuff it out; never leave it unattended.
Tip: Repeat the spell on the next few Fridays, relighting the same candle so the work builds over time.
