History and folklore
Wunjo means joy. It appears in the Old English rune poem, which says joy belongs to one who knows little sorrow and has wealth, contentment and a strong home. The later Norse rune poems do not include it, so modern meanings rest on that poem and on interpretation by today's rune readers. Wunjo is read as happiness, harmony and fellowship, and many see it as the joy of belonging to a community that shares a purpose.
