Safety: Stevia leaf is a common sweetener and safe to handle. Some packaged stevia sweeteners also contain sugar alcohols such as xylitol, which is very toxic to dogs, so check the label and keep sweetener packets away from pets. People sensitive to ragweed or daisies may react to stevia.

How to use it

  • Sugar-free sweetening jar

Use dried stevia leaves in place of honey or sugar in a sweetening jar. Add a note with the name of a relationship you want to soften, seal it and keep it near a pink candle.

  • Kind words tea

Add a leaf or two to a cup of herbal tea before a hard conversation. As you sip, ask that your words come out gentle and that you listen with a soft heart.

  • Friendship sachet

Mix dried stevia with rose petals and lavender in a little pouch to give a friend. Hold it first and wish them sweetness and ease in the season ahead.

Works well with

  • Pink Candle
  • ♀︎Friday
  • Rose Quartz
  • Venus

Substitutes

  • Licorice Root
  • Vanilla
  • Anise

History and folklore

Stevia grows wild in the highlands of Paraguay and Brazil, where the Guarani people have long used its leaves, which they call ka'a he'ê, sweet herb, to sweeten drinks such as yerba mate. European botanists described it in the 1800s, and today it is grown around the world as a sugar alternative. Because it carries sweetness without sugar, modern witches use it in honey-jar style spells for love, friendship and smoothing over hard feelings.
