History and folklore
Amazonite is named after the Amazon River, though it is not actually found there; early explorers likely confused it with other green stones from the region. Ancient Egyptians carved it into amulets and beads, and pieces were found in Tutankhamun's tomb. In folklore it is linked to the legendary Amazon warrior women. Modern witches use amazonite for calm, hopeful energy, honest communication, and a little luck, especially when you need to speak up with kindness.
