- Find your way
When you feel lost, draw Sowilo and write beneath it the next small step that feels true. Like the sun guiding sailors, it reminds you that direction becomes clear one step at a time.
History and folklore
Sowilo means sun. The Old English rune poem says the sun is always a hope to seafarers as they cross the fish's bath, and the Icelandic poem calls it the shield of the clouds and a shining ray. Built on these medieval poems, modern interpretation reads Sowilo as success, health, energy and guidance. Please use it singly, as shown here; a doubled version was taken up by Nazi groups and has no place in respectful practice.
