History and folklore
Pluto was discovered in 1930 and named for the Roman god of the underworld. Astronomers reclassified it as a dwarf planet in 2006, but astrologers still treat it as a full planet. It stands for transformation, endings and rebirth, power and what lies hidden, and modern astrologers give it rulership of Scorpio alongside Mars. It takes about 248 years to circle the Sun. Witches call on Pluto for deep change, shadow work and releasing what no longer serves.
